My father bought me a vintage fiberglass boat. my family and I can not identify the boat in question!!! Please help me! my life would be so much easier, if I could do so. I would love to begin restoration, but I would like to be sure what I am working on, and I would like to have a reference to go on. thank you so much for reading my post and perhaps making a girl's dream come true!!:joyous:

P.S. there are no identifying markers or manufacture plates on the boat!

Nice looking old glass boat, how long is she? I take it you didn't get a title for her that would show the make?

HI Stormy. Welcome to iboats. Can you read the name on the hard top? That may help a bit. The motor is a '66ish Johnson 33-40hp "Big Twin" with a longshaft extension kit on it. Great motors that you can easily maintain yourself with lots of low end grunt. Here are some handy links that may help you get started in your hunt. You can get any routine parts for you motor right here at iboats.

kfa4303,
Said it perfect because from what I can see as well there is a side plate on it showing a name so read us that and let us know.

OK!! Now on the side of the Cabin Top it reads "Space Liner" and that's about all the information I have! Unfortunately... there was no title for the boat either. I wish there was more information to give to you and I. All of you have already been so helpful and wonderful. You guys are great!! Thank you soooo much!!! :encouragement:

OK the very first thing you need to do is get it registered and or titled before you spend one dime on any thing else or you can end up with a 5000 bird bath.

Space Liner isn't showing any search results or in the classic boat line up either. I wonder if Space Liner may a style because of the top? I think you'll have to come up with some sort of boat make to even be able to get a title for her.

Never heard of Space Liner, but I love the name! If you look on the transom clamp there should be a small riveted tag with a model and serial number. That will help us pin down the exact year and model. It will probably start with RD-xxx.

As stated, don't spend a penny until registered in your name. The big "patch" on the transom looks like the 1st place to start looking for rot, then the stringers. Once those two items are in good shape the rest is time consuming but much easier. Looks like the trailer needs some TLC too (and a title). The project will be fun and a great learning experience. When finished something to be proud of. Don't be in a hurry-- this is not a small project and will take time.
