i need help to identify year and model of a 25 h.p 2cyl tiller control mariner outboard.
serial # plate reads mariner 25m
695 L317714 the closest i have come to identifying it by serial # is 25c model however mine exhausts through from the leg not from the prop. and the part numbers i have tried to match do not correspond to that model.
the motor was made in japan. hope someone out there can help with identification.

i have since come across a site since posting my request that may be of use to other users wishing to obtain their manafacture date and model of motors.
if you have your motors serial number then go to www.autorepairmanuals.biz/site/573683/page599222 and they have a table of serial #'s for just about all makes of outboards that corresponds to the model and year of manafacture of that particular motor as well as explaining how to use the table.
hope this is of help to other users.
