Identification of modell V4 without Typ code

Hello,<br />someone here in germany offered me an "Evinrude 115 V4 Magic", this morning. He says the motor is from the 90ties but all he can find is a number in the block saying: 85 E.S. L 73 MB 2684<br />but not the standard typcode like "E115 TRL and so on" <br />I never heard about the "Magic" in the name, could this give any information?<br />I do need a cheap lower unit for my 140 Hp V4 OMC from 1982, does anyone know about interchangeability of years and modells?<br />Pleased for any help<br />Holger

115ESL73 is a 1973 Johnson 115HP Model Code.<br /><br />That was a good motor. I still have a 135 from that year, which except for the powerhead, is exactly the same as the 115.
