I have a 50 hp motor that has the # G2257216 instead of the model number on the little cap under the cowling.
I can't find a list that references this.
Can someone help me by telling me what make and model motor this would be?

That is more than likely the motor serial number on the core plug. If you could post more information as to the make or about how old the motor is that would help. How do you know it is 50 hp. Is there any lettering on the cowling? Have you checked the mounting bracket for an ID plate? After you have made 3 post you can attach photos. Two or three pictures of the motor would really help.
