Without boring the audience with details of how or why, I have a left over part from a 1968-vintage OMC O/B motor which is long gone. Not a wearing item, a cast mounting plate; but it is one of those parts that if you need it, nothing else is really going to work....and it might be a tough one to find.

It has no $$ value to me other than I'd hate to throw it out. (thus I haven't for 6+ years. Just keep stubbing my toe from time to time and it finally drew blood today....so that's it!!).

Is there any practical way to find either some sort of old o/b club or even an O/B recycler that I could send it along to so they might match it with someone who needs it?.
Is there a "reverse" lookup for OMC parts that if you enter a part number it will list all applications?

DO you remember what motor it came from? Like the HP? Have any pictures of it?

There IS an old outboard club, the Antique Outboard Motor Club, www.aomci.org They have a free want ad page where you can list your part at no cost. It would help if you could identify it first.

TR-10 Johnson 55HP, 1968, (and the 1969 year too) part # 313837. Power pack and rectifier bracket.
Loww...low...low demand part I am sure, but at the same time, once they are gone....they are gone.

I was wondering if there was any way to ID other apps...no doubt the E/rude of those years used it too.
