Now I really do not like this. I realize this is free and apriciate that . However the removal of information has WHAT PURPOSE?? Except to limit what may be offered in a round about way. Oh well letesgive this a few days, they may not have it all programed yet. This sometimes takes time as it has to entered first and there are a lot of posts. This new forum is on the entire I-Boats sites.

It's software, they chose to upgrade it. Unfortunately we have to deal with the changes.

This is what vbulletin 4.0+ looks like, which is why I haven't upgraded the 2 sites I own that have 3.8.4.

The old format was very similar to other forums I am on, and therefore makes it easier to glance around and read what you want. however the new look does have a softer appeal to it and is less boring looking.

But just like some of the other changes that have come my way in life ( wife, lack of money, lack of sex, lack of ambition, lack of will to live ) all will be better when we get use to it and the weather breaks so we can get out on the water !


At least they care enough about the site to keep it updated, so no complaints here...

I have never seen an update to a webpage that was an improvement over the old one.
I have never seen an update to any software that was an inmprovement over the old version.
This update is no differant. I dont like the way it is displayed at all.
I have not been on this site long but already wish the owners would revert to the old version.
I also know that it will never happen. Too bad but i am sure we can all deal with it.
However i just dont understand why there has to be a constant change happening all the time.
If it was working before leave it alone.

I like that the "My Replies" is back sorta. Just takes 2 clicks. Click on "Quick Links" and click "Subscriptions" Better than before...

A note from I-Boats as to how this site works would be nice or information as to where to look for information. Past posts ? Comp photo album??? these all took time and a slow brain to figure out the old forum. Still cant post photos. Help I-Boats tell us what you did and mabey why. I do think the posted photos are bigger and clearer than before, but the research of past material. NOT

Wow, bummer. I must be looking at an entirely different site, eh!

I am digging the way it's running and new set up, sorry guys!

I do see that there are a few things that are not working (past posts, photo albums...) along with a few formatting issues. I bet the tech dudes are still tweeking things. All and all I'm pretty happy, doesn't take much for me though.

Holy cow, I went away on business for two days and when I come home, it is just like the wife moved all the furniture around. I think this will take a little exploring to get used to. After looking at the same layout as we have for so many hours, nothing looks familiar.

Going to take some getting used to. I miss the smiley faces & icons. I can't preview my posts before showing my ignorance. If your not carefull you can hit "attachments" instead of last post. The pics have to be scrolled in order to see the whole thing.
OK, so I'm a whiner.

Hey Dale - Hit the "Go Advanced" button and you'll see the faces and the "Preview Post" button there. With the photos being too big I wonder if you could set your screen resolution higher so stuff will fit better on your screen?

I am replying to your post right now, eh. So, I just hit "Reply With Quote". Write whatever I like. Now if I want advanced options I just hit "Go Advanced" and then I can add some of these:

...along with other options and stuff.
