Iboat purchase trouble

I recently tried to purchase a new prop from the website. It stated delivery by the 6th and I needed by the 8th so that left 2 days buffer for any issues. I had not received ANY communication from the site so I called today to get a status of my order. They stated they would have to call the warehouse and get an update on my order and that could take 1 business day ... REALLY ??? In the age of computers ... one whole day... RIDICULOUS!!! I asked if they could call the warehouse and they said they could try but not likely ... Again ... REALLY ????? So I stated to cancel the order and they agreed but that it would take up to 2 business days to credit my account ... WHAT ???? It took minutes to take the money and days to return it ?? Insane!!! Even Lowes can credit your account in minutes..

I have purchased things from this site in the past but can honestly say this will probably be my last. I just hope they come into the 21st century so that others don't have this problem.

Geez

rmilford-

You're right. You shouldn't have had to contact us to begin with. We had a tracking issue that was prohibiting us from passing along the tracking numbers to our customers. That has since been fixed. We have issued a full refund back to your account and have also emailed you an iboats Gift Certificate in hopes that you'll give us 1 more chance to serve you better.

We apologize for the inconvenience we put you through.

That still leaves him without a prop. You should have credited his account and sent the prop. A gift card doesn't do anyone any good when items don't leave the warehouse.

Great idea rsmitty814.

We would have like for rmilford to keep the propeller he received that same day. However, that is not what he wanted to do. So we sent him a return shipping label, issued a full credit and gave him a gift certificate for the inconvenience he went through. We are no where near perfect, but we're always trying to become better.

Credited him and sent the prop? There are times when people get unreasonable, although I have received gift certificates in the past because something got messed up, I have never expected a company to give me something for free. Be reasonable, yes it is frustrating when something goes wrong, but!

I do apologize. I went back and checked the date of op. 9:48 of the 6th and already on the complaint trail. So the item WAS delivered on the promised date.
I have my own issues with Iboats but prompt delivery isn't one of them and I deal with company direct not in public forum.
