IAC Valve Silencer hose

Suzuki 70df
Hoses extending from the IAC Valve Silencer. One goes to the IAC Valve the other is hanging loose and not connected. It has vacum when engine running. Where does this hose attach or does it not? The manual shoes it routed to the top of the engine towards the rear.

Not a Suz expert but the hose is routed away so you won't hear the air suction. When motor is idling air is drawn in thru the open hose to the IAC silencer. From silencer to the IAC and then into the intake. The silencer is like a foam air filter, it lessons the sound of sucking air along with keeping any dirt out

Mercury calls the silencer a muffler
