I would like some opinions before i buy this !!!

I am about to buy a 90 or 91 (I am not exactly sure of the year) evenrude 115 hp……..it has vro….I have heard many bad things about oil inj on this forum. Should I remove the oil inj-sys before I use it . And if so How do I go about doing so.<br />It would also be great to get some opinions on what all you guys think about this motor as far as problems and so on !!!!! due to only owning mercs in the past I am not very familiar with omc products….than****** !!!<br /><br />I CAN’T WAIT TO GET THIS THING IN THE WATER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think there is several things to look at about this engine.First if this motor has been running for ten years with this oiling system,its safe to say it works.I have heard alot of people that say they don't trust the self-oiling system.They just mix their oil and gas together like everybody else.I have no idea how to unhook the oiling system.I think mixing your oil and gas is best and safest bet.I saw that you were a mercury man,so maybe you can answer a question for me.If you have time read my posting about to spaces above yours about the 50hp mercury not firing.<br /> Best of luck&boating<br /> Everett

go for it if you have checked compression and all those buyer beware areas I hope its a good deal look for loose wires and connections before you give it a whirl
