Hi
I just put deposit on 1998 Maxum 3000 scr
Boat is bank repo so i can get it for less then is regular price.I like this boat it has a lot of room in and out, looks beautiful.
Boat has twin 5.7 mercruiser engines, dont know the condition of the engines until survey is done.
I am looking those 2 engines and im scared a little about gas?
I it true that two engines waste a double gas then only one engine,or maybe boat with one 7.4 is better.
This will be my first large boat,so what to expect from this boat?

Thanks

Get the boat I bought a Maxum 3200scr and just love it. I had a Sea Ray 220 select and it was a single screw. My Max is a twin it is so much easier to drive park etc. You will be glad ya did it congrats

well...not really...although it seems you should be burning twice the gas..it works out to be about 10-20% more gas because the engines aren't working as hard to do the same work....as stated above..it's easier to drive and dock...but ....it is twice the amount of work...2 oil changes....2 pumps...2 drives to service....2 fan belts to replace..etc.....but the joy is worth the money......I just moved up from a 2700scr to a 340 bay....monster of a boat but dang if it isn't gorgeous and fun to drive...

I say get it..buy the biggest boat you can afford.
