Anyone seen a bargain on one lately?

I don't mind doing a little work on it.

Let the search begin! Besides checking your local ads and CL for your dream boat 22'r you can do what I did to find my Chief. Make a fun day of it and cruise your area with that special someone and scour alleys, fields and back yards.

I don't see every many bigger Holidays here in WA State up for sale, most are 18's.

I think he's from near Nashville. Forgot to ask about the 18' Holiday, if it's not big enough or if the sights are set on a big gal with an I/O.

I'm in TN and have an 18' project. The reason I'm still looking is the size of my family. 6 of us and every kid will want to bring a friend so now I need seating for 10 and am way too cool for a pontoon boat. I'm not stuck on a Holiday but it needs to be longer and I like the retro look of the windshield way forward.

My 18' has some interior hurdles I'm trying to overcome with the largest being a Tracker steering assy that is too short to be mounted in the dash so they built a pedestal for it out of 2x4s. The dash looks rough with all the gauges missing and the holes butchered.

I'm also questioning the reliability of a 40 year old Merc. Last thing I need is to break down on the lake.

The hull looks great with new bright blue paint so it is not a total loss

Hi home-boy. I don't think you'll find a Holiday with seating for 10. I've had 8 plus a baby when I used a couple of folding chairs in the dance floor space of my 21' Holiday. I don't normally carry that many and I really like the closed deck, so I wouldn't trade, but maybe you should consider a different model. I think an open bow SS would give you the seating you want as long as you're careful not to stuff the bow into a wave. - Grandad

I don't have to keep the original seating pattern. Mine has no seats at all and 3 benches would get me 9-10 if 2 of them are 7 yrs old.

I could also run 2 benches lengthwise on the outer edges to seat several

Hey Granddad how much room do you have from the dash to the front of your doghouse? I have 9 feet to my splashwall to work with.

I just went out and measured it to be exactly 9' also. Note that this measurement is from the dash to the door on the head/toilet/change area. I positioned it a foot or so forward of where the original doghouse was. I still have room for folding chairs. - Grandad
