my cousin had alot of elective surgery right before he turned 40, sinuses fixed, feet fixed etc asked him why and he said his warranty expired when he turned 40 and wanted everything working right.

Nope - never happened here. I turned 29 and since then have only had anniversaries. Come September it will be the 15th anniversary of my 29th birthday.
