I need to replace steering cable

on my 88 lowes pontoon. I took cable off but it has no indentification markings at all. Its a rotary style. I've noticed that there are a couple different brands Uniflex, Morse and Teleflex. I'm wondering if they are interchangable?

If you look at the steering mechanism there should be a brand name under the dash on the rotary housing.

And somewhere stamped in the housing should be a number. Sometimes a PN or at least a 2 or 3 digit number that would be the length in inches. It may be hard to find but is usually near one end or the other.
