New here. Great site! Ok, i have a 1988 mariner 70hp. I just bought this boat and ran the motor up all the way to check fluid. Problem is , it will not go down. I have googled this issue all last night. Cannot find a solution to my problem.
First off i can hear both solenoids clicking. The tilt motor runs when i move switch to up or down. I switched the solenoids around and still no luck. Next i turned out the bottom relief screw to manually bring motor down. Still no luck. I then drained all fluid and re-filled. Nothing. It seems like its bound or something. Everything worked fine prior to lifting it all the way up. Where do i go from here?
