Hello all,

I need a new coil for my 46' ranger, and all part # searches seem to end at 68'. If sombody would happen to have a part number for a coil for a 46' Evinrude Ranger model 4407, or knows if later models like a colt, ect., will work, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Marineengine.com only goes back to 1955, I think I have a parts manual for that engine, I will check tomorrow and post back.

Also try Engine Blade and Prop, or Sea-Way Marine. If all else fails, then go to the AOMCI website and post a want ad.

Yea, I just rebuilt a 1941 Johnson HD-20 and Sea-Way was able to provide me with a brand new crank, rods, pistons and rings for my motor, plus two new comdensors, so I think they'll help you out. Engine Blade and Prop helped me out on an old Evinrude in the past too. I think it would be a good idea to join up with the AOMCI, too. It's a great organization and there should be someone around that may have what you need in the future.

Well, I found the part number (375189), and beleave it or not it is still an active part number. It is listed as a vintage part, that means that they are a special order, but you will not like the price.$112.49, on the site I looked at. You would probably be better off checking with some of the above listed places and see if they could help you out.
