I'm working on a 1986 Johnson 15 for the neighbor.
The bottom coil was arcing on the strap on the inside around the bolt so I decided it needed replacement.
I didn't keep track of how the coils were positioned nor the mounting hardware sequence (I now have been lead to believe that this has bearing on my now no spark issue).
I screwed up!
Can someone direct me how to put the coils on correctly??
How big of deal is it to have the fiber washers against the head as I don't believe they had any to begin with and maybe the reason the coil was arcing in the first place?
