Hi all, I may be coming over to San Francisco with work next February, I guess it will be winter then? anyone know if there is any good fishing to be had around the area at that time of the year?? never been to the USA and have no idea what to expect, so, any info will be greatly appreciated.

Well, in the winter in San Fran.... the rock codding is fantastic. If the ocean is't too rough. I don't think there is a winter salmon run there, but I might be way off. You might get lucky and catch a lingcod: <br /><br />

holy crap, what an ugly fish that is, but I guess if they are good to eat who cares, anything of interest I should look up when I get there, particularly boat/fishing/ocean wise??
