i looked up the carb parts from manu.

and the plate i mentioned earlier post is missing on 1 of the 3 carbs on the 1978 evinrude 175hp v6. i looked it up and there is no part number for that piece sooo. idk cause the other 2 carbs have the flap and the top one don't and he says it ran better with out the carb cover???? i think i got swindled but at least the trailer and boat is worth what i paid i hope.
