Hi all

In a previous post I asked about my Power tilt Trim unit, and subsequent to that, I am in the middle of the job. I needed some O-rings, and found this place

Q-FIT - Welcome to Q-FIT who is local to me in Sydney, Australia.

They can make any gasket, or o-ring, packers, engine mount rubbers, etc from scratch. For example, I can take my exhaust manifold to them and they will make a new gasket for me based on my part.

Many of you may have this service available to you, but it is nice to know that smaller parts like O-rings and gaskets are attainable for an older outboard for a reasonable price. My price, for the large upper o-ring gasket for the PTT unit AND the gasket for the fill hole was $2.00 Australian.

If anyone in Australia needs a hand with gaskets or seals for your older Force or Chrysler outboard, I can't recommend these guys enough.

This is not a paid ad, and I am not associated at all with them, just wanted to let you all know that good old fashioned honest service is still available.

That's not against the rules. You are not soliciting to buy or sell and not competing with products in the iboats store. You are sharing an experience that you had with a company or product. It is like when I recommend using Wiseco pistons as replacements based on my experience with them. And yeah, I sometimes use unconventional sources to find parts for my engines--but most times I make my own gaskets.

I make my own gaskets mostly, but when I showed him my exhaust gasket, for $20.00AUD I would not make my own.... A thermostat gasket I would as its simple;-) But O-rings etc I can't make, so thus the information was shared;-) Thank you for elaborating the rules, I didn't want to break them, but I am silently stoked that I can turn up to these guys and get sorted for a gasket or o-ring;-)

I am sure he will express post to you for about 4 cents......if you ever need a gasket or o-ring, PM me if you get stuck. He is 5 minutes from my house, and I'd be happy to help where I can. I have a 1988 Force 125.......
