i have a questionj

i have a 1955 johnson 5.5hp model and iwas wondering about how much it would cost to take my motor in to an evinrude service station and have these things done. New coils, new impeller, new fuel lines and have them rebuild the carb

Re: i have a questionj

just ran a parts list on laingsoutboards.com the parts would be about $110. then you add dealer mark up, and labor, i think your best bet is to call the local authorized johnson/evinrude repair shops, in your area to get an estimate from them. as i remember this is going to be your 1st boat, and you are in central Fla. you should have some good shops within a reasonable distance. if you can't find one, i highly recommend Becks Outboards in Jacksonville. they been around for about 50 years.
