I just purchased another boat and motor (woohoo) which is a Custom Angler and a
1967 33hp Johnson motor. All runs well and I'm looking forward to my next fishing trip! I've looked intensely at all the FAQ's and all is understood. I have no questions at this time but I just wanted to let F-R know that if I have problems then he will be the first to know...LOL:D
this forum rocks!
P.S. look at new question below.

Re: New old boat

Congrats on another boat. Is that Custom Angler another aluminum v? If so, it should fly with a 33 hp. Good luck on the next fishing outing!

Re: New old boat

It's fiberglass and its an exact replica of a Boston Whaler. I'm going to take it out this week and report back on my catch :)
Thank you Duckhunter Jon for your comment.

Re: New old boat

I took this boat out last weekend and it ran great for about 5 minutes. I ran it at WOT then all of a sudden it died and wouldn't restart. It wouldn't even crank over. After 4 hours of paddling my way back to shore, I came home and bought a new battery, installed it and still nothing. I'm so pissed that after such an experience having finally a boat that works to having one to just die 1/2 mile from shore, I'm at my wits end as to what to do next.

Post a question in the Johnson Evinrude Section.

Do you have a manual? If not get a good one.

When was the impellar last changed? Did you run the proper fuel mixture? Have the points been serviced? The carbs? Many possibilities........ good luck.
