I have a BF Series 15 HP Honda used in Salt Water that needed the carburator replaced, prior to having the carburatotr problem the motor had a lot of power to move our 12' Dinghy with 4 people and get on plane quuickly.
Purchased a new carburator and had it installed, motor starts and soung great but doesn
t have any Top-End speed, can't evem get on plane with 1 person on it.

Need to know how to adjust the carburator, I only see 1 screw setting and I've moved it through the range with no improvement. When in nutrual it sound great when giving it gas.

Any thoughts would be appriciated.

Are you sure the correct OEM carburetor was used? If yes, it should be jetted correctly right out of the box. If an aftermarket carburetor was used then all bets are off.

Purchased from an authorized Honda Dealer, took the old carburator in and gave part number information.
Any other adjustments that could be tried?

Easy things first, does the throttle plate open fully when you give it full throttle? Also did you double check the shop to make sure they gave you the correct carburetor? Maybe compare to the old one if you still have it, to see if the new one is smaller. Also is that a 2 cylinder motor? If yes, make sure both cylinders are working. Check the spark plugs and make sure both show signs of firing. Or with it idling, briefly unplug one, then the other, to see how it affects how its running. I would not expect you to have to make any major jetting changes, if it's the correct part number then it should work out of the box.

Maybe the carburetor was not the problem !----Test compression and test spark.-----Check valve clearance.
