What year? Normally you can find all of the parts on the big auction site, I just recently did it on a 18hp Tohatsu, was not difficult at all, no need to have a dealer do it, it is pretty straight forward on most engines.

Hondas are not like other motors in this respect. You buy them how you need them. If someone has enough money and time it can be done but it there is no kit and there a lot of parts that need to be changed (Its more then just buying a handle) which means expensive. I have done it before and from my experience I would advise selling the motor and getting one that will fit your needs.

The key is going to be what year is the motor on whether it is to expensive to do yourself, without know the year, we are flying in the dark with no landing lights. There are 40 listings to various tiller handles and the parts that go along with them, but again, the year is going to make a big difference.

The most of the older motors came with tillers on them and had components to install on them to control them remotely. The "D" series motors they have been making the last 15 years or so where when they remove the handles completely and would have change all the linkages, main engine wiring harness, plus the actual tiller. If there is a kit for a D series of motors its not something offered by Honda.
