Well, this might need to posted in the "Good News" forum but since this forum gets more traffic...<br /><br />I finally got the nod from the Misses! By that, I mean we are paying off her car next month and when that is done I finally get my boat!!! YAY!<br /><br />I'm going to make an attempt to get it early this spring (Feb-Mar) so that I can still take advantage of the 'winter prices.'<br /><br />Its been a long time coming... and I can't wait! It's going to be a great summer I can tell already.<br /><br />Sean

Well alrighty then! Go with option #2.....Depending on how much you have to spend.....You should be able to buy something decent for a reasonable price that does not need rebuilding.....Maybe that is option #3......JK

Any reason on the OB QC? I've always been partial to the IO's because of the noise... Remember I'll be a freshwater guy...<br /><br />I'm not actually going with that one (well, unless it is still around in February) but something of similar type. I really would prefer a Four Winns or a SeaRay.<br /><br />And LT... where the heck is NY!? After all the ribbing I've gotten from him I've been waiting for this moment to give it back to him!!<br /><br />Sean

2nd the OB suggestion, if only for ease of maintenance. Working on an engine down in a hole never appealed to me. Plus you have more deck space w/an outboard vs i/o<br /><br /> http://www.outboardrepairs.com/io/#outboard_vs_inboard
