A few days ago I called up a couple friends and decided it was a good day to go out on the boat. All 9 of us finally get in the boat, which was fine, its a big boat, and head out. Well, I'm at the helm and she's running about 80% throttle and we keep getting passed. That's fine, I went on the boat to relax. Actually it was fine until a towboat, complete with tow, passes us at easily double our speed. Ouch, but alas when I hit open water the sails went up, we shut off the diesel and had a wonderful day-I'm sorry I just had to gloat. Also, who tows a boat at 15 knots, is that normal? It seemed like the sucker was flying .
