I know this is not a big deal to most, but its my first, it works, and I feel good.

The two things that gave me trouble was that the old one was pretty burnt up and the housing was a pain to get off. Being my first time I wasnt sure if it needed force or if there was a trick to it. Just needed some force.

And the woodruff key was a real pain. I tried everything, even drilled a hole in the middle, not sure if that helped but, finally an awl hit nice and hard got it out. The new one didn't give me any trouble.

I did have a small O ring besides the one that goes on the bottom of housing, that came with my kit that I couldn't figure out where it went. I didn't see one on my old one, so I figured it was maybe for another model.

Yep, I did my first one a few months back, and it wasn't near the nightmare that you read about! It feels great to conquer your fears and accomplish something you've never done before, and hopefully not screw it up! Good Luck!

I agree! It was especially rewarding to me when I knew that a local shop (often highly recommended) charges $229 labor + parts + shop supplies + tax to change one. That would have been ~ $300 for my DF200 Suzuki and it cost me less than $50 and an hour of my time.

$229 labour and you took an Hour to do it first time? Do they have brain surgions working for them?
If you took an hour they should be done in Half an hour. Well done on your saving.
