I have a stabilizer on each of my Yamaha F115 outboards. I am wondering if they are worth it / make a difference or if I should remove them? I have noticed that they are slightly bowed from age/ sun exposure. Prob only a couple degrees bowed. Would this effect them negatively or are they not that sensitive / precise ?

There supposed to make your boat plane better but I think the plastic ones are junk. I think they make aluminum ones and I believe they may work.

Having two engines is your boat a dog out of the hole?

my little 16ft Xpress came with one on the 40, I took it off and could not stop the boat from proposing unless I put a bunch of weight up front.
transom wedges would be needed to get my motor to kick in far enough to stop it without the stingray foil

They have their place, only way to know for sure is to run with and without and see the difference. Often used as a quick fix to other issues, but sometimes necessary for best performance....easy enough to make a test and find out !!

my Maxum bow rider with a 4.3 Mercruiser jumps on a plane quicker with one on , with it removed i get less of the deep V wander , i chose to leave it off since i use the boat in low speed zones.

take it off and decide what is best for your needs. maybe try some different brands.

i put one on a hotted up Yamaha F100 i had on a 15 foot boat and it actually made the boat drivable :).
