Hydro-Electric Shift on 1972 65hp evinrude

Thanks Joe Reeves for your info. I have checked the solonoids and the push button swith they all seem to be good but it does not shif. Is there something that could be clogged or gunked up keeping it from shifting? Please help

one more thing to try before pulling her apart....<br />If the LU doesn't shift, and you have the proper voltages to the solenoids......try dumping the oil and filling the LU with dextronIII. Run the engine on the hose for several minutes. Let the dextron flush the inside of the LU. Drain the dextron and refill with type "C" LU oil....sometimes this will free up sticking components......
