Can someone tell me the best way to bleed the brakes after replacing one of the brake lines? It has drum brakes. It has the actuator with the old style shock in it rated for i believe 10,000#s. Thanks in advance for all the help!! :)

Well,...... I'll assume you already know about Bleed Screws,+ keeping reservoirs Full........

To do the Pumping action needed,.....
Create a loop with the safety chains,+ insert a 2X4,.... By positioning it against the coupler,... You can Pump it In,+ spring pressure,+ gravity should allow it to rebound.........

Or,....... Hook the trailer to a towunit,+ Block the wheels,... Then just slipping the truck into drive or reverse would do the same thing,......Auto Trannies are a Big Plus......

You can do a search on bleed and brakes and will find a lot of past posts that cover this.

As for the method for pumping the brakes, I use the chain around the 2x4 method shown here.

It has the benefit of giving you a real feel for how the brakes are working. You can tell if they are spongy, or if the coupler bottoms out (goes all the way in).

TieDown couplers have screwdriver slot for testing and bleeding the system.
