Hydralic fluid coming out from Fill/Vent cap on Steering after filling and bleeding?

Steering is MUCH more responsive and cycles left to right in 5.2 turns, but after a hard turn fluid came out from the fill/vent cap on steering column, what's with that? Looks like it's got a O ring on the cap that looks good.
Thanks,
Dennis

It's hydraulic, turn it the direction that makes it bleed fluid, then wipe up the drips. Now cycle it back & forth a few times. Later after you have used the boat some, turn the steering in that direction again and check that the fluid level is up. Sometimes with hydraulics you get an air bubble which can be purged. It's really just a burp. The fluid level can then be topped up again, only do this when it is at full lock in the direction that caused the overflow before.

And don't forget it will expand when it get up to temperature so allow for that. Fill to hot mark and add later if needed.
