hummingbird fishfinder not showing deph?

i got a hummingbird fishfinder wide 100, i got it on my trolling motor and on the water it will not show deph or anything? it will power up and some on but will not show deph,fish,or bottom of lake? what maybe wrong with it?

first guess would be the transducer, check to make soure it is plugged in properly, and there is no crud causing a bad connection.<br /><br /><br /> Jim
