Hiya,
There is this guy who has a Humminbird Wide Eye fish finder for sale for $85.
It comes complete with power cable, trandsducer and 20 feet of cable, and the mouunting bracket for the display unit.
I can't seem to find too much about a price or what year it was made, online.
My question is this: My girlfriend asked me how I will know if it works or not. That got me to thinking.....how do I test it, besides turning it on and making sure the LCD screen is functioning okay?
Is there any way I can test it, or does it come with a "test function" on it?
Plus, the other question is: since I do not know when it was made, is it worth $85, or less or more.
Thanks for any input.

Suspend the transducer in a bucket of water. That will at least tell you that IT is working. I've got a Wide Portrait and I can't find a "test" feature on it, just a demo.

If its a Wide Eye 100, its old, outdated, and not worth it.
You can pick up better, new ones, for that price.

Thanks for the tips fellas.
I decided not to buy it. It seemed a bit old.
