My Humminbird in dash depth finder will revert to a depth indication of "11 ft" when running regardless of the depth. I clear it and it reads accurately for several minutes then it reverts again. Has anyone else experienced this problem and is there a fix? Thanks! Rich

Rich, contact Hbird and see what they say. I have the HDR600 and it's just junk. It's very unreliable. I put a switch on it and keep it shut off and just use my Garmin 160 for depth. I just haven't gotten around to ripping it out and throwing it in the trash.

Yes, there is a fix. Remove the finder and package it up safely and then put it in the garbage can. Go out to your local sporting goods store and pick up a new Lowrance for around $150. It will outperform any 'bird ever made and not break a sweat.

I don't know about the most current models but anything older than 2 years or so is junk. Worst finders ever made.

UFM82

Other than that, no, I don't have a solution for you.

haha yea i would go with a lowrance or a garmin for GPSin. Not a big fan of hummin bird either. Even my eagle/sister company of lowrance is better. If its new take it back, but if not contact hummin and see what they say.

I agree. Junk it. Mine always locks up and shuts down when you start the engine. Humminmbird will just tell you it's electrical interference but there is nothing you can do to overcome it.
