The boat has a transom mounted hummingbird depth finder. The previous owner must have hooked the wire with something - it?s been hanging loose from the transducer since I bought it. I figured it should be easy enough to rewire - just pull it apart and find where the wire the wire was right? Unfortunately it was not obvious. Has anyone ever pulled one of these apart before? Thanks.

It is a coil/coils. The windings are very fine and probably broken off inside the pack. Pitch it and buy a new transducer off Ebay. Or better yet, maybe here.

save your prop & launch it and buy a new hummingbird 650 set up.
