Hey there,

i work at a fishing lodge and this spring management bought these new humminbird units for our guide boats. I installed them and they worked great for a month. Then one after the other, they wouldnt mark bottom. pretty much a blank screen. You could still read depth but no colour markings.
After a bit of testing, I figured that the transducers were the ones screwy. We had 2 spare units(complete box) so we replaced the transducer one one boat and sent it out. a few weeks later, same thing couldnt mark bottom. this time we replaced the whole works thinking maby the head unit had something to do with it. Again, worked fine for 2 weeks or so.
I tried contacting Humminbird and they told me that the transducer was definatly the problem. But why??? never did get a straight answer.

So im hoping you guys can maby help me out here.

I have the system getting its power from a fuse panel. It's got a 3A fuse feeding it. The ducer is set up exactly where the manual says it should be. There are no scratches or scuffs on the ducer.

Hoep you guys can help. ive gone through 6 so far and the company we had bought them from wont send us any more replacements. i need these units to run another month. Please help!

Continue your discussions directly with HB. I haven't seen a rash of issues on other forums, but you seem to be having some. If you are not getting anywhere with HB tech support, try connecting to Greg Walters @ HB. Send me an IM if you need the email address.

suppose to have a 1 year warranty correct? Exchange them. Also, make sure the units are up to date with software.
