I finally hooked up my 575 and started using it.
I do have a problem (apart from needing a splash guard) and that is that when the screen is divided in the top half and 2 bottom quarters, what they call "the classic layout",the bottom quarters have no reading whatsoever. It is as if the 200 kHz and the 83 kHz work fine but the 455 kHz is just non existent.
Is this something that is caused by the setting or do I have some sort of mechanical failure? When I use the simulator everything is dandy.
As always, thank you for your answers and opinions.

How many male pins on your transducer plug? Should be 4 or 5. You might have the wrong transducer or pins bent over.

Re: humminbird 575

It is one with 5 pins and none are bent over.
I contacted Humminbird and they told me to send it in.I now find myself in the situation where I have a brand new product that is defective and they want me to pay to send it in and to pay to have it sent back. They do not strike me as very customer friendly.
I will make sure to tell my friends about this sort of service that Humminbird gives.
