A friend has one for sale that has been used for a summer. Are these any good? I want it for general navigation allowing me to get back at night (GPS), and also for depth. Thats all I really desire.

Whats a good price for one used?

I, too, am interested in this model. While researching the features, I came across this term, "4 nautical mile resolution" referring to the installed map. I hope that is not what I think it is (only bodies of water more than 4 nm wide are displayed?).

Not trying to hijack thread...but perhaps anyone who can comment on whether unit is any good might be able to elaborate upon that feature.

Thank you

No problem. Thanks for bringing that up, I too would like to know.

I have microsoft streets & trips 2007 which I use now for speed and making a trail I can follow back. Its just to hard to follow as it is not designed for marine.

It is a basic sonar/gps combo. It comes with HB unimap and can not be upgraded to Navionics or other map card. So, view the areas where you boat. If it is not enough detail, look elsewhere.
