Just got the bad news today that the hull around my outdrive (Mercruiser Alpha 1) has delaminated and is soft. I had the boat in to have the seal replaced for the shaft that connects to the steering and my mechanic found the bad news. My $1000 steering repair just went to $1900 including the transom work. While I can't put my hands on the paperwork, I thought I remember the dealer saying that there was a lifetime warranty on the hull?
The boat has always been stored in the backyard and covered with the bow high and the plug out.
Can anyone give me a little more info on this as I may try to go back to the dealer and want to be well informed. I am the original owner of the boat and have a lot of good memories when the kids were little.
