satx,

Sorry I can't help you with your question, but perhaps you can help me with mine! A friend and I just bought a 1958 Texas Maid Falcon. It looks terrible, but it's in good shape overall. It has no title and we're trying to get one. Where in the heck is the hull number located?! We've looked all over and can't seem to find it. We're hoping that we can find something out about the HIN from the tag office. But we're not getting our hopes up too much on that because it was last registered in 1983. lol

Thanks!

I moved everything over to a new topic.

Typically on the older boats there are two places you can quickly find a hull number - the capacity plate (if they had one) or what I would call (for lack of a better term) a manufacturer's "tag" or plate. They have typically be located near the helm or in the stern near the rub rails. Neither of those might be present though ... and I wouldn't say that's uncommon.

Welcome aboard.
