I knew this day would come and the Army officially retired the Huey from service. What a great helicopter.

Wow. USAF is still flyin' them. I was surprised to see two come in last year outta' Montana and Georgia.
I half thought the '60 would beat them to retirement.
You still with 'em? 'Bout the same time I found out the AF was still flying them, I found out that's what my BIL winds up in when works the silos up there. He's security forces up at Malmstrom.Ya we use them to support missle silos
Boy, spent many an hour in a Huey, a well loved bird, that saved many lives over the years!
LOL - 'cause a good pilot knows best way not to get shot at is not to be there!...And a Huey with a good aggressive pilot dropping us off FAST......and in a second they were gone!
