Re: Hubs for 3/4 inch spindles still available
If sears doesn't carry it then I doubt your ever gonna find that anymore, in the long run its best to switch to the 1" or 1 1/16" spindle axles and then you will be able to find parts when you need them but as far as I know most hubs for 3/4", 1", and 1 1/16" are generic straight through design and its the bearings and races that determine the sizes for the shaft. most of the small hubs are 1.98 inside diameter in size so see if that matches yours. see if the seal is the same size as your dust cap and if it is take a measurement and that will tell you which replacement hub to buy then just put the 3/4" bearings in it.
a new axle will run you about $65 plus the hubs about $30-$35 each so all tolled your in the $150 range to replace the axle and hubs
I have to wonder though, if you beat on it hard enough to damage the hub then I would think you did damage to the spindle as well or at the very least bent it during the process.
