I don't know how many or if any out you all use this. Its a leather conditioner I have used for 20 plus years I use it on ever new set of leather shoes I have owned. I use it to ease break in and add life, and I just ran out and the local store has went out of business, but I was very re leaved to find it on line. Thought I would toss it out there.

If I have some leather that needs to be broken in I use Mink Oil. It softens and water proofs at the same time. I have never heard of Hubred's. Maybe its a southern product only?

Wouldja' believe that I've been using coconut oil the last few years? It's actually been working pretty well.

I had forgotten all about this but my father used to use it all the time. I still have one of his old cans but it's all dried out now. This is probably from the 1960's.

Re: Huberds shoe oil

I ran across it in 1975 when I went to work in the coal mines, I didn't like wearing the rubber boots most of the men used ( no ankle support ) and wore leather ones. Their was only one small local shoe shop around in those days that carried them and the owner gave a can of the oil out with a new pair of boots, I was often wading in water all day and I could get a year out of a set before they wore so bad they started leaking and in those days that was unheard of, so I have used it ever since.

It used to be once a week with the saddle soap to clean the boots then a coating of linsead oil, until the rag with the oil caught fire!!

Then it was just neats foot from that point on.
