Hi all,
I am looking for help locating a source for replacement hub/bearing assemblies for an old boat trailer my father in law is restoring. I haven't been able to locate these bearings anywhere and frankly, they don't look like trailer bearings to me, at least not what I am used to. It looks like one of them must have been replaced at some point as they don't match. They are 1" ID on the bearings. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!
Caleb

A regular hub will have the inner and outer bearing. If you have accurate dimensions of your axle you can get a hub and bearings along with a seal that will fit.

I rebuilt two boat trailers recently. On one I bought a new axle and hub assembly.
On the other I rebuilt the the existing axle. I saved less than $75 by rebuilding the axle. I would have been better off buying an entirely new axle assembly if my time is worth anything.

The pictures look like some one took an axle off a hay wagon and cobbled it on to the spring. That U-bolt setup with a couple of pieces of flat stock sure isn't the way that trailer came from the factory. If it was mine I would be getting a new axle, hardware and hubs.

Agree. That was not a boat trailer axle. That bearing wouldn't support side loads like a taper bearing set.

Replace the axle or at least the spindle stubs with a modern set.
