HPDI OX66 200hp

The boat I'm working on 2005/6/7 and the covers say HPDI
What is the difference in the 200 HPDI and the 200 OX66
My fishing partner has the2005 OX66 and it looks the same as the HPDI

Usually the HPDI is direct Injected and the Ox66 is fuel injected. On a HPDI motor the Injectors are on the head. On a fuel injected motor they are on the intake. Now it could be that the hood was replaced or Yamaha changed the Decals.

All HPDI's are direct injected two strokes. All OX66's are conventionally injected two strokes.

Completely different motors. Completely different service manuals.

Night and day differences between the power plants.

I believe the hoods must have been changed as both motors must be the OX66
