2006 HPDI VZ200TLR. This is the filter between the VST tank and High Pressure Fuel Pump. My question is: Is this filter directional. You have the one end that requires the special tool for removing the fitting and the other end just takes the rubber line with a special clamp. Can this filter be installed either direction or does the fuel only flow one direction in it. All pictures I've seen show the standard rubber hose connection on the VST side and the special fitting on the High pressure pump side?

The filter is directional. It will only connect in one way.
Im trying to see if it was installed incorrectly by the group that did my power head. Currently it has the special fitting towards the VST and the regular end facing the high pressure pump. My engine acts like it has a fuel restriction and im wondering if this could be it before I take it off and swap it around.

Even if mounted backwards I don't see it causing the motor to run poorly. But...

Thanks Boscoe. Mine is mounted in the correct direction. Not sure what I was thinking. I was at work when I sent my post. When I got home I checked again and it was opposite of what I thought.
