OK summer is here, at least that is what the calendar says.
I've gotten out skiing 18 days so far, but we're a couple weeks behind what is typical.

52 degrees and rainy in MN AGAIN today.
Please turn off the wind and rain, and turn the heater back on.

Re: How's YOUR weather?

Haven't been on the water once this year due to home projects. Air temps averaging low-mid 90's for the past month. Water temps at the lake are in the mid-upper 70's. I bought a new stick at the end of last season and haven't even gotten to try it out yet!

I don't want to make you cry but 90+ days and water temp min 80 degrees. We have been sking since first of May. My daughter ski's with a local ski show we are out there three to four nights a week. She also skiied on New Years Day. I didn't get in til 1st of June I like my water hot. Our summer dinner hour is usally around 9:00 Local SC.

One question; why do y'all like skiing on ice so much?

Rainy and cold! Illinois river has been high with debris. Put a new amp in Wed half under the mooring cover to stay out of rain. I hate ILLINOIS!

18 days? I'm jealous, only been out skiing twice and had the boat in the water 3 times.

Re: How's YOUR weather?

:) I'd be fine if the lake temp never got past the mid-70s....it's weird but I can tell the difference and prefer the way cool water skis.
I guess the cold keeps the riff-raff off the lakes. Skiing by 5:30 or 6:00 am. helps as well.

113* Official. I saw 121* on the truck thermo.

There is not a cloud within 500 miles of here, and won't be until September.

Water is still cool (Colorado/Salt/Gila River Reservoirs) at about 70* (surface). They rarely get much over 80* (surface).

It's just too danged HOT to boat.

Its ohio. I think that's all I have to say. 90 yesterday 65 today with rain almost everyday since it has been to warm to snow. (Mental note to self: we should be in the carolina's: end mental note.) The lake is still in mid to low 60's not to mention the perch and walleye have began their move east so we can't even fish let alone ski :-(

Re: How's YOUR weather?

Weather? Yes we've definitely had that. On the plus side the fire hazard is very low and all the reservoirs are full. Also I have yet to start up the built in sprinkler system. There is still a good snowpack in the mountains so rivers are not going to have any problems late this summer.
Oh, and we did have summer yesterday so it's already better than 2010. Our summer day was in March last year. (I remember when sometimes summer would seem to last for months...)

SW Oklahoma = Sunny, but its almost ALWAYS windy so the lakes are never very calm.

114 degrees with water temp of 90.

Beautiful once you're out there but hard work launching and loading the boat.

It's been getting cold at night but the afternoons have been gorgeous and the water is perfect (Orono Maine Pushaw Lake). We've been out five times in the last two weeks; it'll be six in an hour!
