Lets say you were one of those "guys" that runs it across a sandbar or in 2 foot of water, and you trim the blades down a few inches.....

If you were "McGuyver"...what parts would you keep under the seat, and how would you do it? I ask this in ANTICIPATION of me doing the exact same thing.

Let's also say you had a Johnson/Evin 70 HP....

Re: How would you change a prop?

The shallow saltwater people down here would advise: 1] go to a ss prop; they will take incredible amounts of abuse. 2] keep a spare prop, washers, a nut and a cotter pin under the seat [the extra stuff is to replace what you will drop in the water while you're changing the prop].

A spare prop (used one or a "comp prop" which is plastic. A pliers for the cotter pin and an adjustable (8" minimum) to remove the nut. A swiss army knife just to complete the McGuyver image helps too.

Bob
