how to wire a battery to a 50 hoarse 4 stroke yamaha outboard

can some one tell me how to wire a battery to a 50 hoarse yamaha outboard or where I can find a wiring diagram?

Not sure what you mean. If it's electric start there is a red and black wire, these connect to the battery and that's it, no other connections are needed. If it's manual start and you want to charge a battery you must first make sure it has a charging system on it, or put one on yourself. The two wires from the charging system will then go to the battery.

Some Yamahas come with a charging coil already in the system, but you still need to install a rectifier

The only connections between the battery and the engine are the red and black battery cables. Red goes on the POSITIVE terminal of the battery. Other end goes to the starter solenoid. Black goes on the NEGATIVE terminal of the battery. Other end bolts to the engine block.

Would I need a battery switch or any kind of fuse or can I go directly to the battery
