How to test stator?

I have a 92 kawasaki ts 650. I just got it. I had to remove the engine to replace the starter bendix. I would like to test the stator before i put it all back together. Does anyone know how to test these? I do have a ohmmeter. I just need specs. Thanks.

coil resistance is 1.2 to 1.8 ohms,,,,, also check each charging coil for a short by making sure there is no continuity from each winding to ground

best is to use volts and a dva
ohms are good for insulation breakdown only

yes but he is looking for a way to check it OFF the engine,, he can't test voltage output if it isn't on the engine and running.
