How to tell if V4 or V6 gearcase with Johnson 115 V4 looper

I see the 115 V4 looper (model year 2000) either had the v4 or v6 gearcase. How to I determine which I have? Motor is model #j115plssb

V4 gearcase uses a max diameter prop of 14" and has 13 splines on the propshaft.

V6 gearcase uses 15" diameter props and has 15 splines

Isn't the diameter of the gearcase different? My Johnny V6 uses a prop with a 4-3/4" hub. I would think the V4 gearcases would be 4-1/4" hub?

I go by the splines. 13 for a V4, 15 for a V6
